About the Founders
William Kline, Ph.D., CFA
William Kline is an Assistant Professor of Management at Pennsylvania State University - Harrisburg. He received his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Saint Joseph's University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Kutztown University. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society, and the CFA Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia. He earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in November of 2006.
Prior to entering academia, Mr. Kline was a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he completed valuations for mergers and acquisitions, business planning, as well as tax and financial reporting. Mr. Kline also spent time consulting at CBIZ Valuation Group, Inc. and Curtis Financial Group, a regional investment bank.
Thomas McDevitt, CFA, CFP
Thomas McDevitt, CFA, CFP is the Managing Partner at Penn Guardian Investment Counsel, LLC (PGIC), a boutique asset management firm based in Philadelphia. Prior to co-founding PGIC, he spent 25 years as a financial advisor with several of the largest firms on Wall Street.
Mr. McDevitt earned an MBA in Finance from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He is a Maxima Cum Laude graduate of LaSalle University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance. Mr. McDevitt earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in November of 2006. He is a member of the CFA Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia and The CFA Society of Philadelphia. He is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner and a member of the Financial Planning Association of the Philadelphia Tri-State Area. He is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Philadelphia Bar Association.
