William Kline, Ph.D., CFA is an Assistant Professor of Management at Pennsylvania State University – Harrisburg. He received his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He has received four awards for teaching excellence including the Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year Award (PSU – Harrisburg), the Dean’s Award for Faculty Excellence and Stanley Fuchs Award (Fordham University), and the Award for Excellence in Teaching by a Doctoral Candidate (Temple University). Dr. Kline’s primary research interests include strategic decision-making and executive compensation. He has been published in 9 peer-reviewed journals including the Academy of Management Perspectives (AOMP), the Journal of International Management (JIM), the Journal of Strategy & Management (JSM), and the Journal of Management Policy and Practice (JMPP).
Tom McDevitt is the director of a start-up nonprofit, which provides financial training to low-income Pennsylvanians. Prior to founding this nonprofit, he spent 25 years as a financial advisor with several of the largest firms on Wall Street. Mr. McDevitt earned an MBA in Finance from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He is a Maxima Cum Laude graduate of LaSalle University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance. Mr. McDevitt earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in November of 2006. He is a member of the CFA Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia and The CFA Society of Philadelphia. He is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner and a member of the Financial Planning Association of the Philadelphia Tri-State Area. He is also an Enrolled Agent (EA) and represents taxpayers before the IRS.
