The term ‘Compliance’ is too often misunderstood, underappreciated, and considered by too many as simply a ‘necessary evil.’ Legal, regulatory, and various other significant compliance-related issues, considerations, and sensitivities affect virtually every individual and organization. Ethics plays a central role in supporting effective governance, risk management, and compliance/ control programs and processes for organizations of all types and sizes.   But directive controls alone are not sufficient for ensuring compliance. A strong balance of preventive and detective/corrective controls must be present.

Every individual – no matter their position or title - can play an important part in helping to strengthen their organization’s (or client organization’s) ethics and compliance programs. This course will provide you with the practical knowledge foundation to help you do just that! Our course includes the following topical coverage areas/ themes (and more):

Learning Objectives:

  • Define compliance
  • Examine core elements of effective compliance programs
  • Discuss "The Auditing of Ethics" and "The Ethics of Auditing"
  • Explore practical application strategies for better aligning and integrating ethics/ compliance programs across the organization
