In this course, our presenter will review the characteristics (i.e., taxability, limitations, regulatory constraints, etc.) of a broad range of retirement options. We will discuss IRAs (traditional and Roth), simplified employee pensions (SEPS), and pensions. We will also address current issues in retirement planning needs analysis, as well as important factors related to social security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Peter J. Roland, CPA, CMA, CFP, PFS founded the Accountant-Lawyer Alliance (ALA) after conducting his doctoral dissertation research on technology-based collaboration between accountants and lawyers. His research demonstrated both the benefits of professional collaboration, as well as the need for both the accounting and legal professions to work together more effectively to better serve their clients. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College, a Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Drexel University, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Management from Northcentral University.
